What I have read it that a true breech is when the pup is presented butt first with the legs folded under them. A regular breech the tail and legs are presented first. I hate breeched births because sometimes it is difficult to get the head out if the vulva is tight around the neck of the puppy. It does take a lot of maneuvering sometimes. I will take a mental note about the head facing up delivery. I can't recall if I have ever had a pup stuck in that position. My husband and I always work together too in delivering the pups. |
