I know exactly what your talking about. She seemed totally clueless as what could have caused her dog to have fleas. And to start it off when she picked up the dog from the breeder it had fleas to begin with. The breeder gave it a 3-month treatment and a shot for horses(?). Doesn't sound like the breeder was really monitoring her place very well either. I'm not saying that all breeders don't have fleas (its part of having animals going outside), but it just erkked me!!

And to boot she wants one of my puppies if my gal is pregnant. Now why would I give you a dog when you don't even take great care of the animals you already have. She didn't start training her dog till it was almost a year old, she doesn't call the vet when something happens, she calls me. I don't know what kind of food she feeds her animals, but all of my animals are feed Science Diet (its not cheap in my books). I have a hard time affording that for my dogs when we're low on the money, but my pets get just as good as care as my children (yep they even get clothes). I feel that if your animals are part of your family they should be treated like family. Best food you can afford, all your shots, clothes (it gets cold here during the winter), and attention.

Sorry started ranting as well. It just bothers me when some of us try so hard and then there are people like that, that care for their animals just enough to get by.

No offense to anyone. I'm just irrate of the fleas issue and how she didn't even think about fleas until I told her about them!
