Sorry but your friend sounds like the average pet owner being clueless and careless about flea prevention.
So many people get a dog for looks but don't want to invest in the upkeep/ let the cat roam everywhere outside and the dog too/ want a cheap and lazy way out for grooming, feeding, and everything else.
There are those pet owners who also feed their pets the cheapest food on the market when they can afford better, and leave the dogs to always live outside with an ugly and nasty water and food pan. They barely ever take them to the vet, or walk them, or train them. And they wonder why their backyard looks a mess.
Of course there are also those that do extensive agility training with their dogs, or who brag about the balls and frizzbe's they can catch and having a Canine Citizen Award, but then look at people who treat their pets as their children (spoil them, feed them extremely well cooked food, take them everywhere they go, dress them, put them in doggy day care/school and give them plenty of love and a great home life... etc, etc, etc) like they are nuts.
Okay...I was venting. Back to the fleas. That is just terrible because those things multiply fast and furious and will make your home a nightmare to relax in. |
