I agree with Nancy.
But I wouldn't depend on getting another dog to become "hers." When you live in a family, you need to be a pack - all as one. I don't believe in one person having one dog, the other having another, etc, because then it creates tension and a lot of times the "YOUR dog just peed on the floor!" that sort of thing... lol. I understand one person mostly taking care of a dog more or something. But sometimes adding another dog into the mix can make things worse if you do it for the wrong reasons. Also, rather than one dog being the wifes and the other being the husbands, sometimes the dogs prefer each other lol. But in all, I DO think having 2 is better than 1.
Just think it through!
