On both occasions they insisted on doing xrays to see if there was an obstruction - which there was not. My daughter is a fourth year med student and although she knows nothing about veterinary medicine, she has told me that she thought both times if he was sick enought to have "torn" his intestines or had an intestinal block that he would not be running around playing like normal....I wish I had listened to her - $600.00 later, both times they told me he was fine! They thought he had just irritated his intestinal tract. I'm not sure about your baby, because I don't know how big the piece was...but I bet you will see it again. I hope she is OK.
Thank you, that helps to put my mind a little at ease. She's changed positions a couple of times now and not made any fussy sounds at all. I don't know what size of a piece or if she even swallowed the bully stick although I looked for it and did not find it. I know that she and Hot Rod were squabbling over a bully earlier. It wasn't a tiny piece but about a 1/3 of a stick. I would think that, that size was too big to swallow as she is only slightly over 4 lbs. I am glad that your little one was fine in spite of the bills...it's amazing what we'll do for these little boogers!
