UGGGHHH!!!! Ok, so my friend has a dog that I trim for her every few months (mini schnauzer, mini australian shepard). She brought the little guy over and I was about half way done with the cut when I noticed a flea jump on me

!!!!! I tried to be polite but was seriously ticked off. I keep my dogs treated every month (except Raeley as she might be pregnant), my cats are indoor cats (less risk) and I give my dogs a bath often and check for ticks and fleas every time.
My friend lets her cat wander around her neighborhood, and her dog wander around as well. Thank goodness they were all up to date on their shots! She didn't even know the dog had fleas. She couldn't even do her own research on how to get rid of them. She called me for advise. I told her what we had found that was a home remedy (hopefully it works), as I was being a good friend.
But what kind of pet owner doesn't take the means to help treat her animals from this problem. She just irratates me that she bought this dog knowing it was going to take time to groom, but she doesnt take the time to do it unless its almost to late.
I'm not saying my dogs are pefect and couldn't bring them in the house, but we have been very good at making sure that didnt happen. So now my hubby and I are tearing the house apart and deep cleaning it to reduce the spread of the fleas. We are going to be doing a weekly carpet cleaning program going just incase there were female fleas on the dog.
Sorry guys just had to vent!!!!
