I was so upset over her staying over there because she's so young and hasn't had all her puppy shots so I was very fearful of a sick dog coming in with parvo. There was an animal control shut down for a while due to a parvo out break not far from here. So they have her in the cat ward. I'm good with that. Less noise and not as dangerous for her.

I totoally agree on my daughter not being grounded and was shocked my sis said she should be. And yes, I was upset with her because I didn't want her having Bijou on the couch. I have learned from other's mistakes.

Q: In everyone's opinion (since they told me they couldn't test for parvo at the surgeon's office) could the bloody pooh just from stress...please be honest. I know there's a chance it's parvo, but I just want to know if it's associated with stress too.

I check with emergency vets and in the two and a half hours she's been with them no pooh. That's good, right?

Sorry, I didn't get on sooner. We took the other pups for a long walk and then DH and I went for a very much needed drink.

Thank you all for the kind words of support and the prayers / well wishes. It's helped us tons more that you probably realize!
Isn't the emergency hosp in the same building as the surgeon? they should have the test to check for parvo. I don't think that's what she has tho. before surgery they would have done blood work on her to check if everything else was ok. i wouldn't worry about the poop right now. she hasn't eaten properly in a few days so whatever is in her is working its way out. be careful when you bring her home and start feeding her tho. you may want to start with something bland and tasty like chicken and rice to get her to eat and then transition back to her dog food.
