Please, don't be too hard on your daughter. Yes, you told her not to put the puppy on the couch, but can you imagine what she is going thru? 17 is a very difficult age, and they take things much harder than we do. I'm so glad your puppy is doing better, and you will be amazed at how fast they bounce back from a broken leg. I have a poodle that jumped off a deck (my fault) and broke her leg. The vet said the break was clean put a cast on it and said it would heal in 6 weeks. That was last August, after months of the vet telling me it would heal, on New years eve she had to have her leg amputated because gangrene set in. She does very well on three legs, but there were several weeks we thought she would not make it.
Praise God your vet had enough sense to plate and put rods in her leg! I wish mine did...
