I'm so sorry about Baby Bijou!!!! Obviously your daughter did mean for her to get hurt, but being on the sofa should definitely not be allowed without some type of ramp so she doesn't jump off again.
Sending my prayers that the surgery goes well and she heals quickly and completely. As far as staying overnite, I know it isn't the best option, but she will probably still be under the effects of anesthesia for a while and they can also monitor pain levels.
