 I think it is nice to support the AKC and to have that little bit of info on your dog. I like to be able to see the pedigree just for fun.

  Twenty dollars is the cost of registration, you can also opt for other things such as lifetime lost and found, which I did, and that's an additional $15.00.  Joey's breeder gave me the pedigree information, but if your breeder doesn't do that, it would cost an extra $19.00, so you probably got registration, and pedigree information, for $39.00.
