The first time I posted to a thread that gave the contest link and said that anyone else wanting to ask for votes should use the official vote thread in off topic, I wound up getting a PM'd and then accused of harassing the person who started the thread. My post was not even to her but those who might want to follow up and ask for their own votes. I voted for everyone for awhile but eventually avoided the voting threads altogether.
