Thank you very much for saying this!!! My sister's dog Abby had two sisters that were born completely brown. Unlike myself and my father, she got Abby with no intent on ever breeding her...for her to strictly be a pet, not a pet and a mommy. The breeder told us that the genetics of the parents (for whom they'd owned the past 4 generations) did not show this trait, but because they were selling them anyway, they had gotten hate mail, calls, emails, you name it. They were told by so many that they shoudl not be selling them, but putting them to sleep because they weren't "standard" and someone may get them and breed more "non-standard" dogs. I thought that was the most horrible, ridiculous thing I have ever heard!
