I imagine YorkieTalk takes quite a bit of server space with all the archived threads and member profiles, photos and such. My son and my brother both have websites off the same server account but they're nowhere on the scale of YorkieTalk so I guess there is some real expense incurred. All in all, this is a great site and I can live with the ads. |
It is not a huge cost to run a site like this if you have a server already; and honestly even if you do not. But..that all depends on what someone thinks is a huge cost.
I agree...I don't care about the ads and will continue to use YT. I just think that if it is a money thing, there might be other ways to get that money. It was simply my feedback on the topic.
There really IS money to be made on banner ads! Trust me on that one!
That does not mean that YT is making a ton of money on those ads, it is merely saying that there IS money to be made on links!
