Roll up a newspaper and fasten both ends with a rubber band. The very next time you find a "present", whip out that newspaper, and hit YOURSELF over the head firmly several times as you repeat "I FORGOT TO WATCH MY PUPPY".
Toby has too much freedom. Use the umbilical cord method. Leash Toby to you so you can watch him 100% of the time and pick up on his signals. If you can't watch him, put him in his crate or pen.
Remember, every time he has an "accident", it reinforces that he can go wherever he pleases. He won't understand what is expected of him. The key is setting him up for success so he potties where is supposed to, then rewarding him. |
