How has your puppy performed after and when did you see him back to normal...also procedure costs? They estimated ..over night stay...tests...and shunt etc. to be 2-4000 dollars. AAAAAGH...but of course..i don't care how much it cost as long as he is healthy...it's sad to think people would put the poor pup down for cost reasons...anyways...thanks for your responses...i really appreciate it..i don't think i've slept in 3 days over this poor baby...
are you close to university of tennessee? if so i would get your pup to dr tobias as from your first post my guess was liver shunt They will fast him 12 hrs pull blood then give food wait 2 hrs on the dot and pull blood - this will tell if if he has high bile acids -- if over 100 i would get him to dr tobias -- if he needs surgery she only charges $1200 so worth the trip and she does a ton of these surgeries on small yorkies and very successful - alot of vets are not real up on liver shunt and mvd and just because alt is normal on cbc panel does not mean they cannot have liver shunt

join this group asap on yahoogroups.com -----Liver_Shunt_And_MVD_Support@yahoogroups.com

i believe dr tobias assistant is on the group as well
