When Max's leg broke, I did call the vet right away,, it was the evening when it happened. The vet said just make him comfortable and bring him in in the morning. The reason I didn't go to the Emergency Vet was Max was comfortable where he was, he did not show any pain. And I didn't want to stress him out with a new vet at that time.
If you do go to the emergency vet, ask if they have had experience with broken legs in tiny dogs. Casting or splinting them won't always work. |
