Nope no correlation at all.
Yeah! I have....but, I've seen puppy coats that have never matted and ended up with softcoats.
One of my Champion females with a glorious silk coat. But, as a puppy I would bathe her and the next day her coat would stick straight out, as if she'd stuck her paw in a light socket, and her coat would be completely matted. Each puppy is different, but at your pups age, it's still too soon to tell.
