Congratulations on your new baby boy. I am sorry for your loss of the girl. Sometimes vets miss it and we have to go by our gut. You have learned a valuable lesson. If you breed again, have someone lined up for your day care, just in case. I know in your situation it is hard just to rush out the door but I know you will have someone willing to help next time. Six hours without a puppy, in most cases means the pup is in trouble and if there are other babies behind the one that has died or is in trouble, then you could lose your whole litter.
