Thank you soooo much... it's a very sad time, for sure. I'll give Cricket and her little boy LOTS of hugs and attention. Both are resting now and seem to be very happy.

I guess I'm feeling a bit guilty for not rushing off to the vet - but according to what my vet said over the phone, she wasn't showing signs of active labor and I was assured things were ok. They weren't. I should mention I run a childcare business in my home and leaving on a whim is nearly impossible. I love my job because I'm able to be at home and give my yorkies all the time and attention they need (plus they are GREAT with the kids). I couldn't stand to have a "normal" 9 - 5 job and leave my babies for the entire day. You take the good with the bad I suppose.
