I considered (well, still considering) a similar cut for Murphy but it's his legs that mat the worst and give me fits. I just don't know if this style would help me much during his grooming. Do you have problems with the feet/legs/underarm area on Momo? |
I do keep his armpits shaved, it tends to mat there. I do put loads of conditioner on his legs. That helps, but only for a few days. He does get little mats on his legs & I have to work them out very gently or he'll start attacking the brush or comb. If the mat is too close to his skin, I just cut it off. If I skip a day brushing him, he'll have mats.
Slicker brushes are best to get the job done on the legs (since great length isn't needed there), but Momo won't have that. I have to be very gentle w/him. Lol He makes the cutest noises too.
