Victoria went into heat in January and had pups in March. I thought the cycle started over and she would be due for the next cycle the end of September, beginning of October. After reading posts on YT I see I was wrong. I never saw blood or any signs, and my male never showed any interest, and believe me he is my radar. But now she is acting like she did when she first got pregnant.
She sucks her pillow and kneads it like a kitten, and humps it. She is overly affectionate and she has gained weight. Pre-pregnancy weight was 5 1/4 pounds, and after the puppies it was 5 3/4 pounds. Now it is 6! Appetite is the same, and I don't notice a difference in the nipples. Could she have gone into heat without my noticing and be pregnant? My male is AKC, but I didn't want to breed him to her as his quality is not as good and he is 6 1/2 pounds. I am hoping this is just hormones and she hasn't started her cycle yet.
