I would like to use it because I hate drenching my 2 lb baby with enough flea and tick meds for a 22lb dog, but my vet, and other vets around my area, do not recommend it, or even sell it...

Vets like medical doctors are influenced by the pharamacudical companies that push the newer higher priced drugs. My vet has told me that Revolution is "less effective" than some of the other heartworm meds.... however..... I asked for numbers to back up the "less effectiveness" and the difference was so minimal that I chose to continue using Revolution.

Remember, Vets aren't pharmacists, just as they are not nutritionists. They rely heavily upon recommendations of the manufacturers of the drugs who have a huge financial stake in the meds that vets recommend.
