All the local vets here recommend Revolution over the other brands so I don't know what evidence there is to it not protecting well. It protects for heartworms and works for Gucci and it worked for my bullies but we switched to just plain Ivermec solution ( I WOULDN'T USE THE IVERMEC ON A YORKIE so please do not do that)
I have used it faitfully for a while and never had a problem.
