That is one of the top rules. I was TDY to a holiday inn for 6mths in '92 and actually had a favorite cat with me. He had the run of the room and management/housekeeping had strict orders to never enter the room. It was only cleaned in my presence while I could be there to crate the cat during the process. I never had a mishap during my 6mth stay, and I worked 8hr shifts, leaving him alone. Of course, it was only cleaned about twice a week. 'course, I do realize that cats are waaaay more self sufficient than dogs. I'm just referring to the hotel security issue.
Keeping the girls in an xpen when out of the room would be an extra layer of protection against forgetful chambermaids. I carry the girls in a sling, most everywhere. Just not in restaurants.
