I named Ben and Sadie the same day I got them, but Rocky has been different. He was one of my puppies so I had been calling them by colors (so as not to get attached -- that idea did not work!) He was Blue. But I did not want that for his real name. I kept facilating between two names -- Cooper and Beamer but they did not seem to fit. Finally, when Rocky was standing on his hind legs sort of boxing with his paws at my son, he said, "We should name him Rocky, cause he loves to box." That just fit his crazy little all or nothing personality.
