Agreed.
Once a pupster associates crating as an unpleasant place to be, it's over. It sounds to me like he is unhappy and honestly I don't blame him. It sounds like a jail cell instead of a safe and happy place to be.
That is my feedback on it.
OP if you think that is negative towards you, then I am sorry you feel that way. You came here asking for advice and people have given it as best they can. No one called you names or said you were awful. They simply pointed out how you might want to do things in a different way to help your pup learn.
