get a playpen, be responsible and keep an eye on the pup when you are busy with other things. We all have lives outside of our babies and still manage to pay attention to them enough for them not to get wrapped around an iron cord? that just seems weird you would even worry about that. I don't think it's weird at all. I think it's the right way of thinking. I thought the same thing about my kids when they were babies. You mean to tell me that you would let your toddle crawl around on the floor near hanging cords? Do you think it's ok to put a baby in a play pen but it's wrong to put a dog in a cage to protect him.
