To answer your last part Nancy, he only piddles if I try to lead him out the door. If I pick him up, which usually means being talked to and cuddles and kisses all the way out the door, nothing happens. If I try to get him to follow me out, that's when he'll stop when he's close to the door, goes back upstairs and waits for me by my bed.
