I have a soft brush that I use on Joey's forehead, as soon as I do this he lies down. You can use a baby brush, or even a soft toothbrush; you are trying to get the hair from eye corner to eye corner. I use a rattail comb the separate this hair right in front of each ear, and place a band around that. Petsilk Topknot gel works great on the shorter forehead/nose hairs. I have many different sizes of bands, the smaller ones you only have to twist twice, and they hold the hair great, but the larger ones can have more give, and are easier to put on, (especially if your hands aren't that flexible), of course you have to twist them 3-4 times. Always cut the bands off with a scissors, to avoid breaking hair. I just stick the scissors under band, and pull it away from all hair and clip. If you don't pull away from hair, it's easy to cut hair, I did that once.
