Cosmo is being trained for outside and then on potty pads while in the x-pen while at work. He is doing well - some weeks no accidents and some days a few but he is still a baby. I am hoping that by 8-12 months we should get this down to a science. Yorkies are hard to train - not in the 2-3 week period like some other dogs.

One piece of advice when you take him out in the morning right from his crate...I let Cosmo out on his own and then I pick him up and take him outside. There is no way he is going to make it after holding it all night coming out of the crate upstairs in our room, going downstairs, through the living room, family room to our patio door. That way if you pick him up right from the crate and take him outside you should not have any accidents.

Also I use clicker training to help so when he does potty outside I click and treat..works pretty good but since he is young I know he will have some accidents but I see that the accidents are getting far and few in between. Have patience..it will happen. Good luck and keep us posted.
Harley is about to be 11 months. It just puzzles me how he has weeks that he does really good and then all of a sudden I feel like we are back to square one.
