A girl I work with volunteers for a wildlife rescue here and has brought a baby bird or two in with her cuz they had to be fed. They two started chirping everytime she spoke to someone. She's also brought in baby bats and baby opossums. Kind of cute when they're little I guess, but ewwww. |
Wow! I used to have zebra finches too, and hand fed some of them when the parents abandoned the nest. They turned out so tame and so much fun! I know how fast those zebra finches grew, so I'm guessing these babies to be about 2 weeks old. They have pretty much all their feathers except the ones under their wings. Ewww....baby bats...I think not! LOL Opossums we don't have around here, so I don't expect to see any of them in need!
