There usually isn't any bleeding right away. They will usually become swollen and yes themselves alot. They are usually in heat for 3 weeks...that's 1 week coming in, 1 week in and 1 week going out. The bleeding usually starts on the second week and gradually will lighten up(in color). We do have some very good breeders on here that I'm sure will see this and answer any questions that you may have. If you think she's in heat I would be very careful around any males.
