I got ant traps at target. They were the Raid ones that kill the whole colony. They smell like peanut butter (noticeably) when you first take them out, and Stella wanted to lick them at first but once she realized they smelled like peanut butter, she leaves them alone now (she hates peanut butter!). They worked pretty well for us, but we have a huge ant problem where we live in FL, so I also bought the eco-friendly ant killer, and I was surprised at how well it worked. It kills on contact but is kid and pet-friendly because the main ingredient is soybean oil. Not that they should be allowed to ingest it, but if they lick the floor afterwards (or step on it and lick their paws afterwards) at least it's not POISON. Stella was a bit over-interested in the smell after I wiped it all up, but since it's non-toxic I wasn't too worried. |
