Also, to try to control the puppy mills.So what many will do is to take the pups and regrister them with the off brand clubs if you want to call them that, so they at least have some sort of regristry to give to buyer of those litters. I also agree just because they are AKC or UKC does not make them champion dogs or the best you can buy. They are just a stable club and help you if you have problems with regristered dogs in their clubs.
