Personally, I think you should take her to the vet and get her checked out if she hasn't been already. As long as she is healthy and the vet feels she can safely whelp then that is what I would do. I am sure your grandmother loved her little dog dearly and she most likely wanted to let her little girl have puppies so her puppies could bring others in the family the kind of joy her yorkie had brought to her.

If you feel you have the time and money to raise a litter then do what you feel is best. We will be here to support you no matter what you decide. It is possible she might not even be pregnant.
