I think the OP is a great friend that is looking for a way to help educate her friend... not steal her dogs or get her into trouble. No matter how you slice it, it comes down to pure ignorance.

There is nothing wrong with them giving the shots or docking the tails... many breeders do this and as long as it is being done sanitary and the correct way then so be it.

Maybe instead of concentrating on how horrible this gal is, maybe we can come up with clever ways to help the OP to educate her friend. It is a sickening situation, but one that won't end unless we ban together to spread the word and educate these people... right?

I agree. I mention in my last post that the friend could offer her assistance to help raise the puppies and give her handouts about breeding puppies. I am hoping the Humane Society could give the breeder information about the danger of not providing proper medical care and tell the breeder how to take care of the puppies properly. I have seen on Animal Cops where investigators looked into these matters to make sure the animals were not neglected according to the state laws. I am only concern about the welfare of the animals. I do not want the dogs taken away from this woman or convict her of a crime. I automatically assume this breeder might not know how to breed her dog properly that was why I suggested the friend offer her assistance and give her literature about breeding puppies. I just want the breeder to change the way she breeds her dog and treats the puppies. I think many people on this thread feel the same way.
