I found this site very helpful in explaining how to do a hair bow. Casual Way to Put Dog Bows In They use two bands and the second band locks the bow in place. It's really important to use grooming bands for the topknot, and even though bows come with bands you use those just to attach the bow, not to hold the hair in place, that way, the bow bands can be used over and over. Joey has really fine hair and bands work better than clips for him. Several of our members make gorgeous bows, at really great prices.
