 Born July 24, 1993- Let go July 30, 2009
Mysweetbabies, Buddy had a mast cell tumor under his eye. I made a appointment to have it removed.
The night before he fell down. I thought it could have been his arthritis. The next morning he fell again, and wouldn't play. So when I got him to the vet I told him that I changed my mind about removing the cancer. That something else was wrong.
The vet looked at his eyes and told me that he thought he had a stroke. Said that if his temp was below 102 that would confirm it. His temp was 98.
The vet gave him a shot, sent me home. I had to syringe his water and food. But by Friday night he was up and playing.
Two weeks later his back right leg was shaking.
When a dog has a stroke it affects the right side of the body. So I knew he was having another stroke.
I knew he was old and he gave me his life time of love and companionship. I knew it was time to let go.
