Hi, I'm new at this, but I have read on several other threads that blue/green both indicate a silky coat and gold/red/orange indicates a cottony coat. However, I also read that the age of the dog needs to be at least 6 months before this can really make a prediction. Puppies younger than 6 months will most likely reflect blue/green. My daughter's yorkie is a little over 6 months and her eyes look golden in most pictures, but her coat is very silky already, so I'm not sure this really can predict their coat texture. My Rily is 17 weeks and his eyes had reflected both blue/green and gold in pictures. I don't know if that is because of his age or the light/angle of the flash from my camera, etc., so I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
