In case we do get a tick. What do I do? Take it out? Any instructions on what areas of forest has ticks?

Beaux hasn't had a tick yet but we bought a tick removal "wand". I think it was either at Petsmart or Petco. It's about 3-4 inches long, yellow, cost about $3. I've never even opened the package but I keep it packed in his travel bag. Best I can remember is it has a graber type end and you press one end of the wand and it makes the tick release? not sure, I'm just glad I haven't had to use it.
