oh yeah, Ms Daisy does that, my current male has never done so. I have a theory that the scratching is related to the high marking, as Daisy pees like a male and Gastby has no interest in marking. I have read that the scratching behavior is to better mark where the dog gos, by adding more of a marker.
They usually do it when pooping, and only occationally when peeing (at least that is my experience). Strange what evolution and selective breeding has done to dogs.
