Albon is used to treat any kind of stomach upset. Also, giardia can be caused by drinking outside water or infected water and coccidia is often caused by the stress of these little ones moving from one home to another. but, I would let the breeder know. if none of the other dogs are sick, then it did not come from there and it's hard to say where it did come from. it does not mean the breeder is a bad person or her practices aren't clean, it can happen to anyone so don't return the puppy but let her know. she may be willing to cover part of the vet cost but most contracts DON't cover it since it is so unpredicatable.

I agree with Dee and Paula (Diggy)...please do not give puppy back. Izzy came with coccidia as well and we found out at the first vet visit with a stool sample. It cost us that and some meds and recheck but she still had so another round and that's it.

I did not blame the breeder as I believe stress did this for Izzy. I also notified the breeder and she was forever greatful because not all people notify them. She was on top of it for the rest of her littler and cleaned house like I did.

It should not cost you hundreds of dollars to treat this. I wouldn't blame the breeder and she probably didn't even know your baby had this.

You are getting excellent advice...see..we've all had this issue and kept our babies and they are all so wonderful.
