It's also good in that the kids don't associate any pain with their parents, enabling the comfort they get from Mom and Dad to be much more effective. We had a great pediatrician that would have a nurse hold our infant daughter while she got shots, and she explained to me WHY they did it that way. Plus the kids/babies feed off of our anxiety, making their pain level that much higher. |
