AKC does not say that it doesn't make a difference. They state that it is up to the judge. I know there are several judges that will not put up a Yorkie w/ a tail at all. If the law changes they will have to consider them, but until then if the dog has a tail they will not put it up. There are some judges that will, you just will have to know which ones will or will not consider your dog.
