Me, too. I grew up with family dogs, but none of them were mine. When I moved to Egypt, I could finally have a dog of my own. Yorkies never entered my head, but a friend found Samantha and her siblings at the best pet shop in town. The owners knew her parents and their families, could tell me her birthday, told me to get her checked out, etc. I liked her and was pleased that she seemed immediately at home in my flat and my housekeeper adored her. Almost 6 years later, I look at her every day and am amazed at my good fortune. The only reason she is not completely spoiled is because I know it is not good for her. When I travel, my housekeeper stays here with her and I send them post cards, carry her pictures with me, and bore everyone I meet with how wonderful she is. She has toys from all my trips! Fortunately, my usual traveling companion - S's "aunt" who found her for me - has an amazing cat to talk about!
