sorry but i am not really familiar with canidae dry. how big are the kibbles/pellets?

yogurt used to inhale his food when he was fed medi-cal? or something like that which i got from the vet's office. the bits were about 1cm in diameter and 1cm long.
ever since i started feeding him wellness he started to chew. the wellness bits are really tiny triangles like the size of those "sticker earrings" that i use to play with when i was a kid (not sure if you understand my comparison. its about 3mm each side)
i figured that he wasnt chewing his food because it was too big or hard
