Default Another Free Feeder Here

I also have always been a free feeder. I want them to always have food and water available. My schedule might not be their schedule and I don't ever have to worry if I am out and about that I might be late for a feeding. With Yorkies more prone to hypoglycemia, I felt it was better for them to have food at all times.

None of mine have ever had a weight problem. In fact I worry they are sometimes too thin. But the vet says although they are classed as "lean," that is healthy and not to worry.

I use one large bowl for all 4 of mine. I have tried them all with their own bowl but they seem to want to eat out of the same one anyway. So I went to a large shallow baking dish. I also have a puppy feeder that I use too. It has a raised area in the center that keeps the food all around the outside. That way they can all eat around it at the same time without reaching to the middle. They never fight with each other about food.

Is there any reason not to free feed?
