Unfortunately, some vets won't neuter until at least 6 months old, which for a Great Dane or some other large breed is just fine but for a yorkie is usually too late to stop the marking. My vet will allow me to get them done at 12 weeks old but other patients they make wait until 6 months.

It always breaks my heart when I gets calls from people that have purchased a little boy from me and decided to not have him neutered before going home. They call and say how angry they are that their little guy is "dumb and won't learn potty training" or that they are "doing it on purpose to make me mad". I spend so much time trying to educate them before they even leave with their puppy on why it's so important to get them neutered before they start leg lifting. Their sweet, loved little boy becomes a frustration with their mommy & daddy always mad at them. I'm glad you came to YT with your concerns. There are many experienced people here to help your mommie.
thank you this is some great information. i will be sure that mommie reads this. i am potty trained but i guess i hold a little to mark on mommy's belongings. should i tell mommy to get me a belly band after my surgery?
