No. But the AVMA (?) recommended this spring to stop the procedure due to it being catagorized as animal cruelty.... and my vet has decided to stop the practice. I had written my prior post before talking with the vet in person this afternoon.

My sister is a vet in New York City and just about had a fit when I told her I was getting ours done. She says she won't do it either.
