Now when I lived in Texas this what I did. Once my mother whelped and pups were 2 weeks of age, I put her back on heartworm meds. Instant deworming, ingested through mother's milk. But, since I no longer live in the land of mosquitoes....I take in a collective fecal at 2 weeks of age. But, then from the time my dam is bred, I do everything I can to keep her confined in clean quarters. I don't allow her on to dirt.
